here's the thing about asheville

i'm a bit of a foodie. i love good food. no, i mean i really love good food. take every food town you know and just go ahead and forget about them. there's no place i've been that compares to Asheville, NC. the food is so consistently good across the board, at all restaurants, in every category, and at every budget.

i've been there before and i've raved about the beer (it's a micro brew mecca). this time, i won't even mention it. just do yourself a favor. go there hungry and spend a few days eating as much as you can.

putting that aside (this is mostly a blog for my photos, afterall), this post has nothing to do with the food. i shot nothing but film and i haven't had it developed yet. once i do, i will post those up. in the meantime, here's a few polaroids.

a silo i overexposed just a bit.

did i tell you i found a lot of good graffiti this trip. ignore what i said last time. the River Arts District is full of good stuff.

mornings are pleasant when you wake up in a penthouse atop Hotel Indigo.

These are all excellent! That silo shot is just great.
And yes, Asheville is amaaaazing! I've only been once; I flew to SC to buy a Passat and drove it back home. I stopped in Asheville for a burrito and beer at the Lucky Otter and was blown away. The whole town is awesome, I would love to spend some time there.

Thanks, Jesse!
You really should spend more time there when you get a chance. I was going to list off some food recommendations but decided the list would be too long. i didn't make it to the Lucky Otter but that was a place that plasTTic recommended as well.

Not being a perv, but for real the third shot down from the penthouse is really well done.

Haha, I don't think you're a perv. Thanks! I'm glad you like it. It was hard to pass up the opportunity to take a shot like that in the morning. It actually captured what I was feeling while I was there.
